CHAPTER 6
In my opinion, it was hilarious that Dill claimed that he had won Jem's pants playing strip poker! Miss Rachel was very concerned for the children. I believe that she would have only disapproved the children, believing them disrespectful. The adults in general would probably have feared that the children had caused Nathan to shoot his gun. Atticus would most likely have been very disappointed in his children, just as Miss Rachel was, and would have been for dill.
Caitlin, I agree with you. This part of the story was hilarious! I would have never thought they would come up with the idea of playing strip poker as their whereabouts for that evening. In my opinion though, I think that the adults would have been more upset with the fact that the children were on the Radley’s property messing around, because of the disrespect that it shows. Your thoughts on this question are excellent! Keep up the good reading!
Chapter 8:
Scout had a dramatic reaction towards the change in weather. When it started snowing, she was frightened to death because she had never seen snow before. Apparently, it hadn't snowed in Maycomb since 1885, and Scout was not alive then. Also, normally, there was no winter in Maycomb; it switched from summer to autumn into spring and then back to summer. This is why Scout reacted the way she did when she was introduced to snow.
