CH 28

As Jem and Scout are walking home, they are attacked by Bob Ewell who is armed with a steak knife. They are saved by Boo, who stabs and kills Mr.Ewell. Jem breaks his arm and is knocked unconscious. If a person had such injuries today, they would go to a hospitol and get help. (ex. a cast and some medicine).

Chapter 30 Response:
I think that they made the right decision in deciding Bob Ewell fell on his knife. If they told the truth and said Boo killed him, Boo would receive a lot of attention. Some would hail him as a hero, others would hate him and maybe threaten him. Either way, Boo is not the person who likes any attention at all. So to thank him for saving Jem's and Scout's lives, the best thing to do would be to tell their own story and spare Boo that publicity.

Caitlin F - Very good description of what happened when Jem and Scout were walking home from the high school! I agree that if a person today had injuries similar to Jem's, he or she would go to the hospital for a cast and medicine.

Cailin D - I agree that Heck Tate, Atticus, and Scout made the right decision in deciding to tell people that Bob Ewell fell on his own knife. I also agree that Boo Radley is not a man who likes attention of any kind.
