Chapter 28 (under April 14)
My favorite character is Atticus. He is my favorite character because of his personality. He is usually calm and easy-going. He is not a parent who is always worried and too protective. I like the fact that he is willing to talk to his children about unusual and uncomfortable problems in their life. Whenever Scout or Jem asked Atticus a question, he would tell them the truth. I also like Atticus because he is kind and never wants to give up. He was always kind to Tom Robinson, and he worked hard to set him free. Therefore, Atticus is my favorite character.

Chapter 27:
Scout's part in the play was a ham. Miss Merriweather thought that all of Maycomb County's products should be displayed during the pageant. All Scout had to do for her part of the pageant was walk out on stage in her ham costume when Miss Merriweather called her name. Her costume was a huge ham that fit over her head down to her knees. It was made with a chicken wire skeleton and with decorated brown cloth stretched over it.

Response to Chapter 30
Scout's comparison of Boo Radley to a Mockingbird was accurate. Accusing him of killing Bob Ewell would be a bad thing to do to Boo Radley. He had to kill Bob Ewell, but people would just think Boo was a murderer. Also, that would force Boo Radley right into the town spotlight, which is the last thing he wants. He would be the talk of the town for months, and all Boo Radley ever wanted was seclusion. He is just like a Mockingbird because he never bothers anyone, he just stays in his house.

chapter 28:
My favorite character is Boo Radley. Boo is a very reserved person, he likes to keep to himself. To him it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, he does what he wants to and doesn't let other people bother him. But when he is needed, he is there. He was there to defend Jem and Scout against Bob Ewell, without his help they would have died. Also Boo isn't like the other citizens in Maycomb. He doesn't gossip or spread rumors or get into business that doesn't involve him. Overall Boo Radley is a good person and he is my favorite.

Chapter 28 Response:
My favorite characters from the book are Scout and Boo Radley. I like Scout because she isn't afraid to speak her mind (for example her first day at school) and ask questions. Also, I like her because at a very young age she has to deal with tough problems like discrimination, and I think she handles them very well. Lastly, I like her because she does what she feels is best, like acting like a tomboy and supporting Tom Robinson, whether or not it is the "proper" thing to do. Boo Radley is also my favorite because even though he does not like the outside world, he made an effot to both give the children gifts and save their lives. By doing so, he put others in front of himself, which I liked.

You all gave great responses! I was very impressed! I love how each one of you explained your questions with a lot of detail. You were all descriptive but to the point. My favorite character is Atticus too. I think he is such a great person and we should all strive to be like him. I hope you all enjoyed reading this book as much as I did!

My favorite character from " To Kill a Mockingbird is Scout. She is my favorite character because she reminds me of myself when i was little. She is always full of wonder and curious about everything. She also has a vivid imagination like i used to have. Her changing realationship with Jem also reminds me of my childhood because being 3.5 years younger then my sister, i always wonderd why she suddenly no longer enjoyed to play childhood games anymore.
